Brandon Mansur 3- Enid Symphony Center

Picture

A few weekends ago my family had a get together at the Enid Symphony Center. From the outside the building doesn't look all that special, as a matter of fact I believe the first few floors are office space. It won't be until you arrive at the top floor that you find what this building has to offer. It is equip with a symphony hall, a banquet hall, ballroom theater, and an Egyptian theme lobby to tie them all together. Our party was in the lobby and the ballroom, but of course I had to sneak around and see the rest of the building. I happened to run into the guy who runs the building and spoke to him about its history. Apparently the Masonic Lodge built the building in the 1920's so they could rent the bottom floors and keep the top for a meeting place. Anyway, the top floor has been redone and it is amazing. I don't think there is anything like this in the OKC metro area. The woodwork, craftsmanship, and detail are so amazing you almost feel like your are being transported to the 1920's.
