A building that has greatly influenced me was the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel ceiling in the 1508, and it still beautifully maintained today. It was initially restored in the 1980’s to remove build up which brightened the paintings’ original colors. It was wonderful to see this historic piece of history, which depicts stories from the book of Genesis.
