Post 7. Stratosphere. Justin Walton

The Stratosphere is a hotel, casino and observation tower in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is located on the strip in Vegas called the Vegas strip located on Las Vegas Boulevard. It was one of the tallest single standing structures in the US and second in the western hemisphere surpassed only by the CN Tower in Toronto. It stands 1, 149 ft. high. I visited Vegas this summer with my father for his birthday. We visited many different casino and attraction but this was one of the most noteable. We took an intricate elevator system to the observation deck where we located different rides available for tourists. Although my dad was not as excited about riding a roller coaster at 1100 feet high, I talked him into riding one with me. We rode Big Shot, which is the highest ride in the world. Located at the very top of the Stratosphere, it shoots you directly into the air at a high right of speed, slowly goes back down and shoots you up again. It was quite the rush considering that there were helicopters flying at eye level with me. Surely, a memory my dad and I will cherish for the rest of our lives.
