Kevin Price - Week 9 - Cotton Bowl

I have spent many times in the Dallas Cotton bowl, including one last weekend. This stadium was built back in 1930 and has had many great football games played inside of it. I have been attending the OU/saxeT Red River Rivalry since 2010 and have enjoyed every game I have attended. The stadium was somewhat recently renovated in 2008 to house up to 96,000 people. Now days there are actually not to many events that are held at the stadium, but those that are are very high in attendance and popularity to show great growth. Some of the other large events that have taken place in the past are Dallas Cowboys football games from 1960-1971 and was also the host of a few 1994 FIFA World Cup matches. Seeing the stadium on the outside is very impressive, especially walking up to it from the press box side. Once you are inside the stadium it appears to be even larger.
