The Ground Zero memorial and museum is a site of memory to a lot of people. It is very important to many Americans. The location of the memorial is massive. the site of the two fountains is surrounded by trees from all sides it almost seems as it is shielded. I remember visiting the place and just being overwhelmed by the realization of how big the place is. The names of all the victims are written which made me feel closer to the victims and takes the tragedy to a personal level. The design allows for quiet contemplation which is essential in a site like this. This site does a great job honoring the victims. the architects are Michael Arad, Peter Walker, Daniel Libeskind.
