Growing up I have visited Chicago dozens of times. For me, my memories there are embodied by the John Hancock Center. This 100-story skyscraper located right on Michigan Avenue has always been my favorite building. It's impressive size, black steel X-Braces, and it's white, 300 foot antenna masts are what make this building so iconic in Chicago's skyline. The building is said to exhibit the structural expressionist style and was designed by Bruce Graham. When built in 1968, it was the tallest building in the world outside of New York City.
