Hoover Dam is another sight to behold in the state of Nevada. Built in 1931, the architects were Henry J. Kaiser, Gordon Kaufmann. The sheer size and magnitude of the dam is quite amazing. The height of the dam is 726 feet. When living in Las Vegas my parents took my sister and I to see the Hoover Dam. At the time we were pretty young and couldn't really appreciate what we were seeing but after taking this architecture class you do start to see things in a different light. I would like to note that when we saw the dam we got to drive onto it. At the time the bridge overhead was not built yet.
