Brad Newell #7 The Gherkin London, UK

The Gherkin was open in April of 2004 in London. It was designed by Foster and Partners. I got to visit London a few years back and this was the one building that I remember the most even though I never got to tour it. The building just seemed out of place in the skyline. I think that is was what the architect wanted. With it looking so out of place it draws the eye towards it, and once it becomes the focus it can be judge as the beautiful building that it is.
