#6-Brandon Mansur- Loretto Chapel
I think this has already been mentioned on here but I think it is super cool so I will mention it again. The Loretto Chapel is famous because it was built without a means of entering the choir loft. The story goes that the nuns prayed for 9 days to the patron saint of carpenters. On the final day a man showed up and built the amazing staircase up to the loft. It is also supposed to have been built only using square pegs which I find really interesting. As a matter of fact this staircase is one of the things that got me interested in woodworking. We visited this church a few years ago and I though it was amazing that someone could create something that beautiful and special out of just wood.
