Houston,
Texas’s Williams Tower has had a long history within the city. Commonly
referred to as the Transco Tower because of its previous name, the building
stands tall at 64 stories and encases 1.4 million square feet. Growing up in
Houston, I’ve been seeing this building since I was a little kid. This building
helped me to realize the extent to which modern architecture has developed.
Looking up at the building, it seems like there is no end and that it reaches
all the way into the sky. Inside the tower is a Class A, luxurious feel that
ensures you that there were no shortcuts taken during its construction.
Williams Tower gave helped me to believe and trust modern architecture even
today. It remains a Houston landmark and likely will for many years to come.
