Houston’s
One Shell Plaza was the first major skyscraper to be constructed in the city.
Standing at 50 stories and 714 feet tall, this building that was built in 1971
has had a great impact in Houston. My Dad worked in this building during my early
childhood years, so naturally this building brought about feelings of hope and
happiness. Even to this day, I think of this building as a personal landmark. A
lot of memories come from thinking back on the One Shell Plaza.
