When I was
still young, I loved going to the library to read books. Admittedly,
they were mostly comic books but at least I was reading! I normally went
to the Belle Isle Library, but when my mother told me that they made a
new (at the time) library downtown, I was very excited to go! The first
thing that struck me was the very modern looking shape of the building.
It was like stepping into a library of the future. It was very inviting
to walk into the circular front lobby area. Because the room extended to
the roof of the building, it made the room huge and gave a very grand
entrance feeling to it. I continued to come to this library quite often
as I went through high school.
