The Pantheon in Rome had an impact on me because of the fact that I was standing in a building that is almost 2,000 years old.  Coming from Oklahoma, I never would have imagined being in a building that old since most of our buildings were built in the last 150 years, none of which were really made to last.  The building was commissioned by Marcus Agrippa but had to be rebuilt around 125 CE.
