This is Westminster Abbey located in London, England. The abbey was founded in the 10th century but none of the original building survives. The abbey is an integral part of British royal society and tradition. It is the site of countless royal weddings, coronations, funerals and burials. The history and architecture inside and out are breathtaking. The West facing towers, added in the 1740s, remind me of Notre Dame de Paris. I had the chance to visit both this summer and can't wait to go back and see them again and be able to truly appreciate the architecture.
