Landon Davidson #7
The picture above is of a historic site that many of us have heard of and seen images of before. This is the Alamo. I got to visit the Alamo in Spring of 2010 while visiting San Antonio. The reason I chose this as an blog entry topic is because it is amazing how crucial of a role the structure of this building played during the Battle of the Alamo. Touring the Alamo was very interesting and you were able to put yourself in the shoes of the soldiers/volunteers during this battle. Due to the great design of this building, less than 1/10th of the soldiers defending the Alamo were able to hold off against a much larger army. I thought that this was very interesting when considering the purpose of specific buildings.
