Bizzell Library- Lauren Gillingham

I've always found the Bizzell library to be one of the most amazing buildings I've ever seen. I absolutely fell in love with the unique Cherokee Gothic architecture once I walked around campus. This architectural style was dubbed "Cherokee Gothic" by architect Frank Lloyd Wright when he visited the campus. The style is beautiful combination of classic gothic architecture, mixed with designs from the American Indian tribes of Oklahoma. These buildings are absolutely magnificent and when I walk up to the Bizzell Library, I love to just take it all in. It makes me feel studious, scholastic, and as I'm walking up to the giant wood doors I think to myself, "this is where I was meant to be".
