Week 7- Scotland Yard by Cooper Tate

This is the famed Scotland Yard in London. The building itself is quite large. It once was private residences until the London Police force was formed in the mid-19th century. I think its a very interesting style of architecture that you don't typically see around London. Scotland Yard got its name because it is the area where Scottish diplomats would stay while they were in London. The building is no longer the site of the London Metropolitan Police. They outgrew the building and built a new building. In true British style, keeping with tradition, the building is called New Scotland Yard.
