Trevin Gallaway- Week 9

This amazing piece of architecture is the Ciudad Mitad del Mundo (Middle of the World city). I visited Ecuador on a mission trip in 9th grade. This was one of the premier stops on that trip. The monument was built to commemorate the first Geodesic Mission of the French Academy of Sciences, which conducted experiments to test the flattening at the poles of the characterisitcs shape of the earth, by comparing the distance between a degree meridian to another in Sweeden. If you are into Science, this is a must visit.
