Salisbury Cathedral is one of the many buildings I visited while on vacation last year. I thought the building itself was amazing in design and I was also surprised at how old it actually is. Construction actually started in 1220 but opened up in 1320. The building itself is a great example of early English architecture. While the building itself is very amazing inside I had the opportunity to look at the world's oldest mechanical working clock which was a very cool feeling to be able to see. I was also able to see the Magna Carta which has been a template for many countries of today for making peace documents. It was also interesting to know that every Sunday they still have church in the building.
