Mathew Christian-Week 6

This is where I spent a majority of my elementary education. This it the Stephen Decatur Elementary School in Catania, Sicily. It has been well over a decade since I have been there, so a lot of that is new to me. I really just want to talk about the tall, brick building in the back right corner (sorry I could not find a better picture). That is a four story building that held grades 1st through 5th. It annoys me that you can not see the best part of the building. In the middle of the building, is where the entrance is located at. There is a stair case that leads you all the way to the top floor. The picture cuts off the giant window that looks towards the city of Motta. The city of Motta is a city that travels all the way to the top of a cliff. At the end of the cliff, there is a castle. The castle once hosted a royal family, but now it severs as a history museum. On top of the view of Motta, beyond that, what Mt. Etna. This view brought me peace whenever I needed it. I love that window. It started on the first floor and ended at the fourth floor. On the first floor was the cafetiere. On all the other floors, each floor had two grades split between them. So the second floor held first and second graders, the third floor held third and fourth graders, and the fourth floor held fifth grades. When I went there, it was a fairly new building, so it was really clean and new. I really liked it. Most importantly, I loved that view I got to see every school day.
