Landon Davidson - #4
The image above is clearly of the St. Louis Gateway Arch. A few years ago I got the chance to visit the arch. Beforehand, I didn't even realize that you could go into a building both bellow and inside the arch. The arch itself is very appealing to the eye and seems to kind of bring the city together. We got to learn a lot of history about the arch while on the tour, which made it even more meaningful to us. On the inside of the arch, you ride a curved elevator system to the top, and you can crouch and crawl through the top, which is covered in windows. The view was amazing, but it was pretty crowded up there. The architect for the arch was Eero Saarinen, from Finland, and the structural engineer was Hannskarl Bandel, from Germany.
