I grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and went to school from pre-k to 12th grade there. My high school was different from other schools in Oklahoma because we only offered 11th and 12th grade. We had a Mid-High which was for 9th and 10th grade at another building. At my high school we had about 900 students altogether and about 450 in each grade. Bartlesville High School was constructed in 1939 by John Duncan Forsyth who was a Tulsa architect. When it was built it was referred to as College High instead of BHS. The building itself is very unique from other high schools because the whole building is white. The whole building has a streamline modern or art modern look which is a late type of art deco architecture that emerged in the 1930's. Bartlesville have changed a lot since the 1940's and with bonds it has become bigger and better. New construction is currently taking place where they will now make Bartlesville High School for all 9th-12th grade available.
