Seth Thomas - ARCH 3013 - Blog #9

The Capital Gate, located in Abu Dhabi, UAE, was given the nickname the Leaning Tower of Abu Dhabi due to the 18 degree incline to the west. It is one of the tallest buildings in the city at 520ft tall and 35 stories. In 2010, Guinness World Records certified Capital Gate as the “World’s furthest leaning man-made tower.”

It is easy to appreciate the architecture that went into this building. It is definitely no easy task making a structure of that size, let alone leaning at an 18 degree incline. It definitely deserves a world record.
