John Pianalto week 8

Another one of my favorite buildings I hope to visit is the leaning tower of pisa. Its most famous for its sideways tilt. This is from its construction on soft ground that proved unable to support the structer's weight. While is it not perfect in anyway, it is unique in the fact is is the only crooked tower I have ever seen.

University of Kansas - Lawrence, KS, Camila Mariane Ferreira #7

Lawrence Kansas is the place where I went for my first mission trip with International Students from Antioch Church. It was a great experience and the design of the University of Kansas is Amazing. We got lost so many times while walking through the buildings.

John Pianalto week 7

This was the first Major League baseball stadium I ever visited. At the time I did not know enough about the sport to realize how different it was from other fields. The altitude of Colorado makes it so the ball travels farther then normal. To compensate for this, the architects designed the largest outfield in the league. Now that I know this, I understand why I couldn't see anything from our seats behind the right field wall.

One building that has to be mentioned is devon tower in Oklahoma City. It is the tallest building in Oklahoma. Not only is it the tallest it is also one of the most modern and efficient buildings in the state. The 3 sided tower features a diamond shape towering over the rest of the city. Contractors and planners also arranged for the base of the tower to be a meeting location. They attempted to make it the heart of downtown.

One year for a baseball tournament we visited Tennessee. My favorite building by far was the pyramid. It is the only pyramid I have ever seen in real life. It made me wonder about the pyramids in Egypt. I thought about their size and if they were as big as this one. I also wondered why there weren't any more pyramids or why they are so rare. Is there something too this structure to make architects not want to use it?

John Pianalto week 3

When I was growing up I thought the was the coolest building. A symbol of ancient Rome and one of the greatest civilizations of all time. I have not been here yet, but I plan too before I am too old. The most impressive part of this to me was how they creating such an intricate structure at that time. This was made with ropes and pulleys before any real technology.
