Heath Garwood #2 - Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum - New York City, New York, USA

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and completed in 1959. I have seen it one time when I was much younger but I remember being amazed by its unique design. The building is cylindrical and gets wider as it goes up, giving it a daunting presence, even though it isn't as tall as many of the surrounding buildings. The design of this building, and the feelings evoked by encountering it, continues to remind me how powerful architecture can be on human emotions.
