Nielsen Hall - Arthur Bulin
Nielsen Hall is the home of the astronomy and physics department. It was the first buidling at OU that I ever entered. First thing I experienced with it was the pendulum. on the East side of the building there is a Foucault pendulum spanning three floors to demonstrate the rotation of the earth. What I find most impressive of this building is the feel. It is old and sticks to the traditional look with the high windows and tall ceilings. There are actually several parts to the building built on over the years but unless you are looking for them it is hard to notice. I find it amazing that such scientific advancement can come out of a building built in the 1940's.
