For my honeymoon we went to Rome, and there were a lot of really cool things! The most impressive piece of architecture however had to be the coliseum. It was truly humbling to stand in something so old and massive! The stone walls are reinforced with metal, which has helped it stand up to a whole lot of history. With its massive size it could seat an enormous amount of people, but it could be filled and emptied in a matter of minutes due to the way its hallways and seating was designed. Really cool to think that architects and engineers thousands of years ago were still being outstanding!
